Mt Egmont National Park

The track steadily climbs 300 meters at an acceptable incline to pass behind The Hump (with glimpses of Pouakai Hut) to arrive above the hut on pleasant tussock tops which afford splendid views.
Sections of the track here are already boardwalked to Great Walk standard and were very easy going so we decided to push on to Kaiauai Hut for lunch. But first there was the "classic photo" over the tarn to take...
