As we walked around under the Dieffenbach Cliffs, we crossed a few slips and had views of various interesting features, including the benign looking Maude & Henry Peaks on the Pouakai Ranges beyond the somewhat daunting Ahukawakawa Swamp (little did I know how my impressions were to prove so wrong).
