Now it was time to really stretch those legs on Little Hellfire Beach, Mason Bay and then the long Scott Burn Boardwalk, which might be hard on the feet, but was better than attempting all the mud it kept us off. After being collected by water-taxi at North Arm, we detoured to Ulval Island, a must for any visitor wishing to see birdlife in an environment free of possums, rats & stoats. Simply amazing, and worth a trip to Stewart Is alone. One day I will return.
