Trampers were Ian Bardsley, John Barrell, Alan Rogers, David Taylor and me, Keith Blayney. We were taken from Mangaweka to the Rangiwahia entrance to the Park, headed over the new overly engineered bridge over the Umutoi Creek and up to the Rangiwahia Hut, with good views in the morning.

We headed up onto the Whanahuia Range, then north over Mangamahue. The scenery, flora and fauna were varied and impressive.
