Having crossed the easy Wangapeka Saddle, we saw more slips, "3 wire" crossings (only use if flooding), a pesky possum (euthanised), a blue pixie fungus, a Tabernacle, a fractured arm (Cathy), an injured tramper we treated and arranged helicopter evacuation from Taipo Hut, and mist and rain on the grunty Little Wanganui Saddle.
