Permission to use photos:

All photographs on this DVD are either in the Public Domain (found on open websites such as Facebook) or taken by a contributor (usually a family member such as Muriel Blayney) or by myself.

Any living photographer naturally retains intellectual ownership of all his or her photographs, but by contributing to this family tree one can assume permission is granted for downloading and private use of any pictures.

However, any picture that is further displayed or published in any media must:

  1. cite ownership where known [eg "Photo by Muriel Blayney"]
  2. not be used for malicious, offensive or illegal purposes
  3. not be used commercially or for religious or political purposes without permission of the owner.
Contact me if you wish to know the owner but please don't bother if the photograph is already in the Public Domain (first published before 1923 or more than 70 years after the death of the author), however this only applies to exact copies. Many of the photographs on the DVD have been extensively modified, cleared up or otherwise edited so permission for these would be needed as above.
